The Zlata Radgonska Penina is still being produced in the classical manner, introduced in by Alojz Klenošek in 1852: manual remuage on wooden pulpitres; an expert remuageur can twist and turn up to six bottles per second. This smooth and immaculately prepared sparkling wine can compete with the best of French Champagnes.
